Librarians/ Redhill Readhing Ambassadors
Our Redhill Library is a shared space where everyone is welcome to come and visit and choose something to read!
Each pupil regularly selects a library book to keep in their tray. There is a good selection including graphic novels, non-fiction, poetry, picture books and stories. Each class has a slot to visit the library every week to change books and to have shared reading time.
We have 14 very passionate School Librarians ; they will be happy to help you find the book you are looking for or give you a recommendation! They also play an active part in reading events such as World Book Day and Harry Potter Book Night - they plan and lead assemblies and read to the younger classes.
Librarian Duties
The Redhill librarians will:
- empty the book return box
- Tidy the Home Reader trolleys
- check for damaged books
- tidy up the room
- create displays and put out books for others to look at
